Cookies
What this site stores on your device, who sets it, what it does, how long it lasts, and how to change your answer.
What this page covers
Cookies, and anything that works like one: local storage, pixels and scripts that read or write on your device. Some are set by us and some by companies we have engaged. Nothing outside the necessary category is set before you choose.
Necessary
These cannot be switched off, because without them the site cannot do what you asked it to.
- Consent record
- Set by us. Holds your choice per category, the time you made it and which version of this page it was made against, so that we can show later what was agreed. Twelve months.
- Enquiry form
- Set by Nimble, which serves the form on the contact page. It loads on that page only and only because the form is the thing you came to use. Session, plus its own identifiers while the form is open.
Measurement
Set only if you accept it. Nothing here loads before that, and turning it off later stops it again.
- _ga
- Set by Google Analytics. Distinguishes one visitor from another. Two years.
- _ga_B4SR5ZRBBX
- Set by Google Analytics. Keeps the session state for this site. Two years.
- What we do with it
- We see which pages are read, how people arrive and where they stop, in aggregate. Event and user data is retained for fourteen months and then deleted. Google Signals is switched off, so there is no cross-site or cross-device identification, and we do not use analytics for advertising.
Embedded media
Set only if you accept it. Where a page carries a film or a recording hosted elsewhere, that service is contacted once it is allowed to load, and can set its own storage. Until then nothing is requested from it and the page shows a still or a play panel.
- YouTube
- Set by Google. Where a page carries a YouTube film, nothing is requested until you accept this category or click the placeholder on the film itself. Until then the page shows a still and works normally. Up to two years.
- SoundCloud
- Set by SoundCloud Global Limited & Co. KG. Where a page carries a recording, nothing is requested until you accept this category or click the play panel. Loading it contacts SoundCloud, which tells them your address and which page you are on; in our own testing the player set no cookie on this site, and it may set its own storage on theirs.
Our own product film is served from our own site and is not covered by this category. It sets nothing.
The still shown before a film loads is also served from our own site, so looking at the page tells the service nothing.
Where this data goes
Google Ireland Limited acts for us in the European Economic Area and Google LLC in the United States. Transfers outside the United Kingdom rest on the International Data Transfer Addendum to the Standard Contractual Clauses. The privacy notice says what that means for you.
Changing your answer
